A Pocket Full of Murder

Through the Valley

Many thanks to all the people who have been thinking of me and praying for me over the past few days. It was a really rough couple of days for me emotionally and physically, but by Sunday I felt as though the dark cloud of anxiety had lifted. Getting out and exercising helped a lot, as well as interacting with my family and talking to friends -- now I just feel like an ordinarily tired human being, instead of some weird alien creature stumbling about in a constant haze of depression and fear and exhaustion. I know it'll be some time before my sleeping patterns are back to normal, but I'm no longer uptight about catching up on the sleep I missed -- I've realized that's pretty much impossible anyway, I'm about 72 hours behind. :)

I'm still fighting thrush -- every time I think it's gone away, it comes back again. So I think I'll start round three of the gentian violet today, purple baby or no purple baby (hey, I'm not taking him to have his pictures done or anything, right?) and see how that goes in conjunction with grapefruit seed extract (which is supposed to be excellent for fighting internal yeast overgrowth, though unfortunately it's a bit hard on my digestive system) and the special ointment made up for me by the pharmacist.

Also, today is H.'s and my seventh wedding anniversary. On one hand it's hard to believe we've been married that long; on another hand it feels like we've been married forever. We'll probably go out to dinner or something later in the week to celebrate -- we don't generally make a big fuss about these things, but it's nice to do something to mark the occasion.
